VirPhone

Switching is Easier Than You Think

VirPhone's white-glove migration team handles number porting, network assessment, device provisioning, and staff training — guaranteeing zero-downtime cutover in 5–14 business days.

Dreading the migration process? Don't be. Our dedicated onboarding team handles the heavy lifting—from navigating complex porting paperwork to pre-configuring hardware.

The Zero-Downtime Migration Process

A meticulously crafted methodology ensuring flawless execution.

01

Discovery

We sit down with your stakeholders to outline specific feature requirements and establish success criteria.

02

Assessment

Our engineers run synthetic VoIP tests on your local network to verify firewall rules and ensure sufficient bandwidth.

03

Design

We architect custom multi-level IVRs, ring groups, and extension maps, submitting the blueprint for your approval.

04

Implementation

Hardware is provisioned. The cloud PBX is built, users are generated, and devices are shipped to your locations.

05

Training

We host interactive sessions to train your staff on their new physical phones, desktop software, and mobile apps.

06

Go-Live

Numbers port securely from your old carrier. Our team actively monitors the cutover to ensure immediate success.

07

Partnership

You transition to your Dedicated Account Manager for long-term strategic support and periodic quarterly reviews.

Key Migration Benefits

We take the risk out of replacing your critical infrastructure.

Guaranteed Number Porting

We handle all the complex FCC paperwork and coordinate directly with your losing carrier to ensure your main lines and toll-free numbers transfer securely without being dropped.

Network Readiness

We don't guess if your internet is good enough. We deploy temporary testing agents to verify jitter, latency, and packet loss before we ever ship a piece of hardware.

Plug-and-Play Provisioning

Every phone that leaves our warehouse is already assigned an extension and fully configured to connect to our cloud. When it arrives, you just plug it into the wall.

White-Glove Training

New technology is useless if your team doesn't adopt it. We provide targeted live webinars for both end-users and administrators so everyone is comfortable on day one.

What We Handle vs. What You Handle

A true partnership means sharing the load.

Your Responsibilities

  • Provide a list of current employees and desired extensions.
  • Sign the Letter of Agency (LOA) so we can legally port your numbers.
  • Plug the pre-configured phones into your office ethernet ports.
  • Cancel your old carrier contract ONLY after porting is fully complete.

VirPhone's Responsibilities

  • Audit existing network and firewall settings.
  • Design and build all complex call flows and IVR menus.
  • Negotiate and execute the porting process with old carriers.
  • Pre-configure, box, and ship all physical hardware.
  • Provide live training and Go-Live monitoring.

Frequently Asked Questions

No. We orchestrate the deployment so that your new hardware is fully active alongside your old system. We cut over your numbers precisely at an agreed-upon date and time, resulting in zero communication downtime.

Yes. By law, you own your phone numbers. We navigate the entire FCC porting process with your old carrier to ensure numbers transfer safely to our network.

Do not cancel your old service until the porting process is 100% complete. Once the numbers have successfully transferred to VirPhone and are actively ringing on our system, you can then cancel your legacy contract.

A typical enterprise deployment takes between 5 to 14 business days from kickoff to Go-Live, primarily dependent on how quickly your existing carrier releases your numbers.

Because we pre-configure all hardware before shipping, physical installation is completely plug-and-play. Your team simply plugs the phones into an ethernet port. For complex campus environments, we can provide onsite engineering dispatch.

During the Assessment phase, we run synthetic voice traffic tests on your network. If we identify firewall or bandwidth issues, our engineers will consult with your IT team to resolve them before we proceed.

Not necessarily. If you own compatible SIP phones (like modern Yealink or Polycom models), we can often reprogram them. However, our OpEx monthly rental program makes upgrading to new, warrantied hardware highly cost-effective.
