Connected Minutes Only

Wholesale rating strictly applies to connected minutes (SIP 200 OK followed by an ACK). There is no charge for busy (486), no-answer (408), invalid (404), or failed/rejected attempts, meaning PDD and ring time do not accrue billing.

To open a live interconnect, we require standard KYC verification including company details, an executed MSA, and a brief review of your traffic profile to ensure compliance with FCC robocall mitigation requirements. Once verified, IP blocks are whitelisted and trunk credentials provisioned.

Upon initial profile approval, we provision a SIP trunk bound to a test environment with a nominal credit balance. This allows engineers to run live traffic through our routing engine, verify SDP negotiation, evaluate ASR/PDD, and confirm STIR/SHAKEN interoperability before committing volume.

For wholesale and carrier-grade applications, IP authentication (ACL) is the rigid standard. It eliminates REGISTER overhead, accelerates routing, and increases security. Digest registration is strictly relegated to dynamic-IP endpoints or PBXs trapped behind aggressive consumer NATs.

While we operate a zero-commit pay-as-you-go tier for new interconnects, unlocking the deep operational discounts found in our Tier 1 and Carrier rate decks requires a negotiated Monthly Recurring Charge (MRC) or minimum minute commitment based on projected traffic.

Accounts are continuously monitored for trailing 30-day velocity. As your sustained volume exceeds threshold boundaries, your account manager will proactively issue a revised rate deck. Downgrades only occur if traffic significantly retracts over consecutive quarters.

A 6/6 billing increment rates the first 6 seconds, then bills in 6-second blocks. A 60/60 increment bills a full minute immediately upon connection. On short-duration conversational or dialer traffic, 60/60 rounding can artificially inflate your effective per-minute cost by up to 40% compared to 6/6.

Our billing engine compares the ANI (calling number) to the DNIS (called number). If the NPA-NXX indicates both reside in the same state, the call is rated intrastate. Intrastate rates are typically higher due to state-level PUC tariffs and access fees charged by the terminating LEC.

Our edge SBCs perform continuous real-time telemetry on all upstream routes. If Answer Seizure Ratio (ASR) drops, or Average Call Duration (ACD) indicates phantom answers, the route is immediately penalized in the LCR matrix and traffic automatically fails over to redundant paths.

Terminating analytics heavily weigh STIR/SHAKEN data. A-level (Full) attestation proves the caller owns the number, vastly improving answer rates. B-level indicates a verified network source but unverified caller ID, frequently triggering 'Spam Risk' labels or silent network drops.

Even on an A-level attestation route with pristine PDD, if your specific Caller ID has been crowdsource-flagged or exhibits highly anomalous velocity patterns, downstream analytics engines (FirstOrion, Hiya) will block the call at the edge. Route quality cannot override bad number reputation.

Standard simple ports clear within 3–7 business days upon LOA submission. Complex PBX or multi-site ports may take longer. Rejections almost universally stem from data mismatching the losing carrier's CSR—specifically incorrect authorized names, address typos, or frozen accounts.

CNAM storage is the act of publishing your DID's caller ID name to the national Line Information Database (LIDB), which we manage for you. A CNAM dip is an inbound action where your PBX asks us to query the database to display the caller's name, which incurs a micro-charge.

Yes, provided the traffic strictly adheres to US Robocall Mitigation Database (RMD) rules. International origination generally receives C-level or B-level attestation depending on the gateway traversal. We vigorously monitor this traffic for compliance and block anomalous conversational patterns.

Our SIP interconnects adhere strictly to RFC 3261 standards, ensuring seamless compatibility with Asterisk, FreeSWITCH, Kamailio, Ribbon, AudioCodes, 3CX, FreePBX, and virtually all commercial SBCs or softswitches capable of standardized SIP UDP/TCP/TLS signaling.

Concurrent Channels (CC) dictate the maximum number of simultaneous active media streams. Calls Per Second (CPS) dictates signaling velocity. Exceeding CPS triggers immediate 503 Service Unavailable responses to protect proxy CPU. Dialers must be throttled to respect assigned CPS limits.

One-way audio is almost always a NAT or firewall issue. The SDP payload contains internal private IPs, preventing the media gateway from routing RTP packets back. Disabling SIP ALG on the edge router and ensuring symmetric RTP port forwarding usually resolves the issue instantly.
